Terms of Use - EduXS v1.0

EduXS is a joint knowledge base that brings together standards, tools and initiatives supporting the digital transformation of education in Europe. EduXS operates in line with the principles of The Commons Conservancy and embraces open collaboration. 

1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to EduXS! By using EduXS (eduxs.eu), you agree to these Terms of Use. These terms apply to all users who browse, use, reuse or contribute to the platform.

Unless otherwise stated, all content on EduXS is made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. This allows free sharing, reuse and adaptation — as long as proper attribution is given to EduXS. 

2. Use of Content 

Users are free to: 

  • Copy, redistribute and adapt content for any purpose, including educational and non-commercial use; 
  • Modify content, provided attribution is made to EduXS and any changes are indicated. 

Please credit EduXS (eduxs.eu) when using material from the site. 

3. Contributing to EduXS 

By submitting or editing content on EduXS: 

  • You grant EduXS a irrevocable right to use, edit, publish and share your contribution under the CC BY 4.0 licence.
  • Your contribution is treated as anonymous. EduXS does not track or display contributor names. 
  • You waive any right to royalties, attribution or claims related to your contribution. 
  • You are responsible for ensuring your content complies with applicable laws and does not infringe on third-party rights. 

4. Acceptable Use 

EduXS is intended for knowledge sharing and collaboration in higher education. You agree not to: 

  • Misuse the platform in ways that undermine its purpose;
  • Submit content that infringes on the rights of others; 
  • Upload harmful, hateful or illegal material. 

5. Privacy and Data Handling 

EduXS collects only minimal personal data (e.g., name, business email) for platform operation and feedback purposes. This data is not linked to any content contributed on the platform. For more information, see our Privacy Statement. 

6. Disclaimer and Liability 

EduXS is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the content and accept no liability for damages arising from its use. Contributors are fully responsible for their submissions. 

7. Changes to These Terms 

We may update these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be posted on the platform. By continuing to use EduXS after changes are published, you agree to the updated terms.
