EduXS Achieves Milestone

EduXS has reached a significant milestone in its journey toward becoming a valuable information hub to interoperability in European education. During its inaugural Board of Directors meeting in Brussels, members officially signed on as the founding Board, marking EduXS’s formal establishment as a Programme under The Commons Conservancy. This lightweight governance framework is commonly used for community-based services, open-source projects, and other related initiatives.

The founding Board of Directors consists of:

With extensive experience in digital transformation, interoperability, and cross-border collaboration, the Board members bring a deep understanding of the European higher education landscape. Their collective expertise enables them to connect key stakeholders and ensure EduXS becomes a vital resource for the sector.

“Higher education thrives on collaboration, but true innovation happens when knowledge is seamlessly connected. EduXS is not just a project—it’s a movement towards a unified, interoperable knowledge base that empowers educators, policymakers, and institutions across Europe. By contributing, we are shaping a future where information flows freely, partnerships are strengthened, and progress is accelerated.”

This milestone marks a significant step for EduXS, as the newly established founding Board of Directors can now actively guide the development of the platform’s value within the future-oriented European infrastructure for education. The focus will be on establishing a sustainable funding structure and sharing the value of the tool with the rest of the world, starting in Europe. The European Digital Education Hub has already recognised EduXS as a valuable tool for advancing digital education across Europe.
